2nd European Monitoring Conference NetWBL Work based Learning TOOLKIT goes live!
Thematic Network Work based learning (WBL)
2nd European Monitoring Conference NetWBL
Work-based Learning TOOLKIT goes live!
1st – 2nd October 2015
On behalf of the “Thematic Network on Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship – NetWBL” we cordially invite you to participate in the network's upcoming conference Work-based Learning TOOLKIT goes live! organised in cooperation with the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
The contribution of work-based learning in supporting youth employment and economic competitiveness is widely recognised. Countries with strong and attractive Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems, and notably those with well-established apprenticeship systems, tend to perform better in terms of youth employment.
Therefore the NetWBL aims to strengthen work-based learning (WBL) elements in existing Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems and Higher Education (HE) and to support apprenticeships in particular. The main output of the Thematic Network work-based learning will be an online toolkit which makes results of EU funded best practice projects from Lifelong Learning Programme and Erasmus+ Programme on this topic more visible.
The network addresses the key actors involved in WBL in each European country taking into account the different VET and Higher Education systems and legislative regulations. Furthermore, the network supports the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA).
The Work-based Learning TOOLKIT will be the first web platform which allows users to create, collaborate and share knowledge on work-based learning issues. It’s a new way to network online with the WBL community. Learn about WBL, discover tools for developing WBL, and test this new toolkit.
The conference will also focus on networking. Therefore it will include stakeholders from the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA), but also other multipliers (from the business side including SMEs) and will provide general information on work-based learning and apprenticeships, e.g. the results of the ET 2020 working group on VET, on other Erasmus+ newly launched projects (e.g. call on Apprenticeship for national authorities, Sector Skills Alliances and Strategic Partnerships).
Working language: The conference language will be English.
Participants: Representatives of EACEA, the network NetWBL, stakeholders from the EAfA, representatives of programme countries’ and Lithuanian VET and HE institutions, as well as business organisations and SME’s, Erasmus+ National Agencies, other organizations.
The conference will gather about 150 participants from the countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme: public authorities, social partner organisations, education and training stakeholder organisations, national agencies for the programme and various experts.
Venue and date: the conference will take place on 1st – 2nd October 2015 at Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, Vilnius, Lithuania.
